Little Me wanted to be either a lawyer or a pop singer (I still kind of want to be the latter).
Food insecurity. The U.S. wastes over 100 billion pounds of food each year, and still there’s a rising percentage of food insecurity among lower income citizens. No one should starve because they can’t afford to buy food. Schoolchildren should not be made to go hungry because they have lunch debt.
Hands-down, I would be a chef! I love challenging myself with new recipes and sharing love through food.
James Baldwin, Nina Simone and Dorothy Dandridge. The Black experience in America is rooted in many things, and there is a richness and depth among these three that would be amazing to feel first-hand. Not to mention the stories they could tell!
