The Challenge
The Prebys Foundation is San Diego’s largest independent private foundation, yet its investments in health, arts, medical research, and youth success were better known than the organization behind them. Civilian began with an audit of public perception, built a narrative framework, and now works as an extension of the Prebys team on media relations, social media, and spokesperson training in English and Spanish. Coverage in outlets such as Axios San Diego, The San Diego Union-Tribune, and Univision has helped Prebys become a recognized civic voice.
