I’ve Got A SaaS Problem
The SaaS industry is a multi-billion dollar walking stick that grows by incrementally degrading our intellectual capabilities. Many consumer facing and B2B software companies push their products as ‘groundbreaking new tools and features’ while they are really just providing micro-modifications to our work process; honing in on very specific and small pain points, and “removing” them. Ultimately, this is gradually shifting our mindset to believe if we’re struggling with something, we’re simply using the wrong tool. To do anything great, you need to work hard. You need to struggle. You need to make mistakes, fail, adapt, bounce back, and fail again. You shouldn’t be looking for some new software to do the struggling for you. Then how will you ever learn?
