We are excited to announce a significant milestone in our journey of growth and impact at Civilian. Our unwavering dedication to purpose-driven marketing has led us to secure our third statewide contract this year. These contracts address critical societal issues, including youth suicide prevention, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), and providing concrete support to individuals impacted by crime. Each contract expands our reach and fulfills our mission to improve lives, strengthen communities, and better the world.
The first contract is with the CDPH’s Office of Suicide Prevention to develop a youth-co-created public awareness campaign to prevent suicide among youth at disproportionate risk. We aim to reduce stigma, promote help-seeking behavior, and foster open dialogue about mental health, suicide prevention, and crisis support. Through collaboration and community engagement, we are working to drive meaningful change and help reverse the alarming trends in youth suicide rates across the state.
Our second contract is with the Office of the California Surgeon General to drive awareness, and behavior change to address Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and create positive childhood experiences that buffer the effects of toxic stress for children and youth. We are beyond thrilled to work on this exciting and impactful work. Through collaboration with stakeholders, educators, healthcare professionals, and community leaders, we will empower all Californians to mitigate the impact of ACEs, paving the way for a brighter future where every child can flourish and thrive.
Finally, our third contract is with the California Victims Compensation Board, supporting individuals and communities affected by violent crime by raising awareness of critical resources and support through collaborative efforts with our statewide partners. Leveraging our expertise in diverse stakeholder and community engagement, we will work together to foster resilience among disproportionately impacted individuals, communities, and their support networks. Through this campaign, we will bridge gaps and facilitate access to vital, concrete support, ensuring that those affected by violent crimes receive the care and resources necessary for healing.
These contracts showcase the power of purpose-driven marketing. By aligning our work with meaningful causes, we have witnessed the transformative impact it can have on communities, empowering positive change and fostering awareness and inspiration to act. We are humbled by the profound opportunity to impact the lives, health, and well-being of so many diverse Californians and communities across the state.
Join us in celebrating this remarkable achievement and our agency’s growing impact. Together, let’s harness the immense potential of marketing to create a better, more compassionate world.
