The Job:

The Media Supervisor oversees day-to-day media strategy, planning, and buying to support multiple clients and integrated campaigns. Serves as a senior member of the Media Services team and provides oversight, coaching, and performance management of the Media Strategist. Must be able to utilize data, consumer behavior research, and media consumption habits to inform media strategy and conceptualize innovative traditional and digital media solutions.

Responsibilities:

Media Services:

  • With consideration to budget and client goals, oversee development of integrated media strategies that meet campaign objectives, reach desired target audiences, and are supported with strong rationale
  • Maintain and develop strong professional relationships internally (cross department) and externally (media vendors)
  • Stay abreast of industry standards, trends and technologies, new media programs/opportunities; advise on new ways to reach audiences
  • Continuously identify ways to innovate and advance media capabilities (e.g., POVs, recommendations, process improvements)
  • Accountable for delivery of effective, strategic, and engaging presentations
  • Research consumer behavior, media consumption habits, and primary and secondary data to inform media strategy
  • Accountable for stewardship of media plans, including flowchart changes, budgets, execution, reporting, optimization, and invoice reconciliation
  • Supervise creative trafficking process and delivery
  • Utilize strong analytical skills to evaluate key metrics, develop insights, present campaign reporting, and relate results to client objectives
  • Provide oversight on campaign fulfillment and billing reconciliation
  • Ensure projects and assignments meet stated timelines, benchmarks, and key milestones

Qualifications:

  • 5+ of experience in media planning, buying, and research
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Passion for social change, government, or nonprofit arenas.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, supervisory, and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to develop and implement media plans that achieve specific, measurable results
  • Able to develop and tailor communications to effectively connect with diverse audiences; capable of adapting strategies and tactics to respond to client or audience feedback
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and entrepreneurial; demonstrated ability to work independently; figure-it-out mentality
  • Strong working knowledge of technology, digital and social media imperative
  • Agile problem-solver, ability to navigate complex situations and manage ambiguity; excellent attention to detail
  • Able to manage people and multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Good listener who includes and engages others and inspires colleagues to their best performance
  • Fluent in Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), GFK MRI/Simmons, Kantar, DCM, Google Analytics, Nielsen, etc.
