Media Strategist (San Diego Office)

The Job:

The Media Strategist is responsible for the day-to-day monitoring, execution, implementation, and stewardship of multiple clients’ paid advertising campaigns.  The ideal candidate is highly organized, focuses on attention to detail, and can utilize data and research to inform media strategy and plan development.

Media Services:

  • With consideration to budget and client goals, assist in development of integrated media strategies that meet campaign objectives, reach desired target audiences, and are supported with strong rationale
  • Maintain and develop strong professional relationships internally (cross-department) and externally (media vendors)
  • Assist in development of consumer behavior research, including media consumption habits, and analysis of primary data and secondary research
  • Develop partner consideration lists and RFPs which effectively communicate campaign strategy and needs
  • Develop creative traffic sheets (i.e., creative grids), including delivery of ad specs, coordination of deadlines, and traffic instructions
  • Oversee stewardship of media plans, including changes, budgeting, execution, reporting, and optimizations, and invoice reconciliation
  • Monitor cross-platform campaigns on a consistent basis and recommend optimizations where appropriate to improve media performance
  • Utilize strong analytical skills to evaluate key metrics, develop insights, present campaign reporting, and relate results to client objectives
  • Responsible for approval of all client-facing billing procedures prior to submission



  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2-3 years related experience (preferred)
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Experience with Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
