The Job:
The Assistant Media Planner is responsible for the day-to-day monitoring, activation, implementation, and stewardship of multiple clients’ paid advertising campaigns.  The ideal candidate is highly organized, focuses on attention to detail, and can utilize data and research to inform media strategy and plan development.

Day-to-Day Activities:

Media Services:

  • With consideration to budget and client goals, assist with development of integrated media strategies that meet campaign objectives and reach desired target audiences
  • Support strong professional relationships internally (cross department) and externally (media vendors)
  • Become familiar with industry jargon, advertising technologies, and different media offerings
  • Assist in creation of strategic and engaging presentations
  • Support team in development of consumer behavior research including media consumption habits, and analysis of primary data and secondary research
  • Responsible for distribution of vendor RFPs and organization of proposals
  • Responsible for media plan stewardship including maintenance of flowchart budgets, flighting, and campaign deliveries
  • Negotiate media rates (traditional and digital), including development of added value opportunities
  • Facilitate campaign execution with media partners and keep organized records of all correspondence
  • Develop creative traffic sheets (i.e., creative grids), including delivery of ad specs, coordination of deadlines, and traffic instructions
  • Manage delivery of vendor reporting and communicate ongoing campaign optimization recommendations
  • Utilize strong analytical skills to assist in evaluation of key campaign metrics
  • Enter billing details on an as needed basis and actualize spend for insertion (IOs) and broadcast orders (BOs)
  • Responsible for collecting all vendor invoices, processing, and filing appropriately

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 0-1 years related experience (preferred)
  • Passion for social change
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Able to develop and tailor communications to effectively connect with diverse audiences
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and entrepreneurial; demonstrated ability to work independently; figure-it-out mentality
  • Agile problem-solver, ability to navigate complex situations and manage ambiguity; excellent attention to detail
  • Good listener who includes and engages others and inspires colleagues to their best performance
  • Fluent in Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Salary Range: $45,000 – $52,000 DOE
